Similar problem after upgrade to 3.5.2
Comment by Jeff Huter (jbhuter) - Monday, 17 August 2009, 20:23 GMT
Since the upgrade to 3.5, firefox crashes regularly on my Acer Aspire One. Something definitely at odds between the repo build and my system. The crashes were frequent enough that I tried the official binary from mozilla as a possible work around. The official binary from mozilla seems much more stable on my system.

Here too (FF version 3.5.2)

Is this bug related to the incompatibility with sqlite3 3.6.17-1?
Comment by Ivan Chapero (chapax) - Monday, 07 September 2009, 19:14 GMT
I have noticed that occurs mostly after a download dialog, to open the directory navigation window to select saving destination

I've attached bug reports of three successive crashes. I was using Gmail when it happened but it happens also when I'm browsing different forums.

Sorry for the double comment. Just to add that sqlite3 3.6.17-1 is also installed on my PC. But I don't see how this is related to FF.

This happens to me too. I can reproduce the crashes almost every time by right-clicking on the bookmarks toolbar, though it crashes other random times as well. I get the same behaviour even after deleting my ~/.mozilla directory, reinstalling firefox, and then running Firefox in safe mode without any plugins.

For me this happens when running firefox in Gnome, but not when running it in the fluxbox, blackbox, or openbox window managers.

I include myself in these cases:
... I was using Gmail when it happened ...
... I can reproduce the crashes almost every time by right-clicking on the bookmarks toolbar ...
... For me this happens when running firefox in Gnome ...

@Chris

The bookmark problem is a symptom of the sqlite version incompatibility.
