Hello!

'pacman -Sup' prints the urls of all upgradable packages .

Is there any facility with options to list the urls of upgradable packages that need to be downloaded, without listing the ones already in the pacman cache?

Atm no, but the request makes sense.

The implementation would be quite easy (the front-end can query download_size before printing uris). We should decide if we want to change the current behaviour or add a new switch (for example -Sp: this FR, -Spp: all) or won't implement.

My vote is the second: "new switch".

what would that second switch be ?

If we keep the -Sp/-Spp idea
then what would -Rp / -Rpp and -Up / -Upp do ?

I am going to propose and alternative... have pacman print "file:///path/to/cache/pkgname-...." for files in the local cache.
