Description:

nsc-ircc does not load on my Asus M2N laptop any more. It stopped working after the recent /dev cleanup. (Of course, this does not necessarily mean that the cleanup caused this problem.)

Additional info:

* package version(s)

syslog-ng 3.0.3-2
udev 141-5
filesystem 2009.07-1
initscripts 2009.07-3

* config and/or log files etc.

/proc/ioports attached.

A couple of lines from dmesg:

nsc-ircc 00:0a: activated
nsc-ircc, chip->init
nsc-ircc, Found chip at base=0x02e
nsc-ircc, driver loaded (Dag Brattli)
nsc_ircc_open(), can't get iobase of 0x2f8
