Description: After the latest upgrade of xf86-input-evdev (2.2.2-1 -> 2.2.3-1), the touchpad and usb mouse on my laptop stopped working. I downgraded and all was well. I had this problem with both xorg-server 1.6.3-1 and 1.6.2-1. Of course, I had to downgrade xorg along with evdev.

Additional info:
* package version(s) 2.2.3
* config and/or log files etc. I have no xorg.conf file.

Steps to reproduce: Upgrade xf86-input-evdev

Solved the problem by installing xf86-input-synaptics, sorry for the report. Strange that it worked without this package earlier.
