XMission would like to become an official mirror for Arch Linux. Once authorized,
we plan to sync against rsync.archlinux.org::ftp up to every four hours.

XMission customer here.

The initial sync was successful, however it does not seem to be updating.

Shem, XMission hasn't yet been provided access to rsync.archlinux.org. The cronjob is currently running every four hours, so once we gain permission, the mirror will be up to date.
