The output from pdflatex is at and of this bug report

If I compile a document with lmodern fonts all works ok (I get vector fonts) and with MinionPro to only Computer Modern is giving me problems.

Perhaps you could run
sudo updmap-sys --syncwithtrees
and try again?
Comment by Kazuo Teramoto (kazuo) - Monday, 27 July 2009, 20:14 GMT
Tried
sudo updmap-sys --syncwithtrees

And dont works. I reinstalled texlive 2009 and now it works ok. (reinstalling is not pretty solution but worked...)

"If updating from TeXLive 2008, it is advisable to rebuild the formats with"
" sudo fmtutil-sys --all"

I followed this instruction that is showed when texlive-core is upgraded from 2008 to 2009. The command "pdflatex sample2e" is correct using type1 fonts.
