rsync accepts multiple sources. rsyncing from both ${SYNCSERVER}::abs/${ARCH}/ and ${SYNCSERVER}::abs/any/ seems to do the trick. Though I am not sure what would happen if a file is located at the same path under any and $arch.

A file should never be present under both (the db-scripts ensure this) so that is fine.
