Description:

We have set up an Arch linux mirror here at IIT Kanpur
This will be maintained by students of IIT Kanpur.


Geographical location: Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India

Type of access: http, ftp

The rsyncs will be done from mirror.cse.iitk.ac.in itself


Currently we are syncing from mirror.umoss.org

Added. As you are syncing from a secondary mirror, I did not add the IP to our rsync list. In the future, if you need to rsync from archlinux.org, please reopen this ticket for that

We would like to sync from the main site unless it is overcrowded alreadly. Let me
know what is best and we will do accordingly

Yes now that Arch is gaining momentum I think it is a good idea to have tiered mirroring. What is the load
on a typical day on the main server ?
