DetailsInstalled 0.7 beta then KDE, Xorg & nvidia. Rebooted.
Added exec startkde to .xinitrc and ran startx. Standard KDE initialisation screen started and got passed 3 of the flashing icons before crashing. No (EE) reported in xorg logs. Only clue was a reference to KSMServer failed. Possibly related to Kwrited? Other window managers (fluxbox, xfce4) all working correctly. Solved by starting KDE as root. Subsequently KDE started ok for non-root users w/o problem. Guess it is probably permissions related. Bob |

and didn't run a pacman -Syu before that
--> rc.system was updated to fix this problem
try to run pacman -Syu or only pacman -Sy init-scripts and do a reboot
then all should be fixed
