Seems this only happens under compiz. No problem under xfwm4...
Maybe this problem should belong to compiz?

This is a GTK+ window with 'transset 0.99'
Controls of this window are ugly. While the picture it contains draws correctly.

I tried Qt applications, the menu bar draws good, while text boxes and some other parts have similar problems.

It seems it's a problem related to so many things -.-

Is this still an issue with the X stack from testing?
Comment by Jun Wu (quark) - Sunday, 19 July 2009, 04:58 GMT
I use no testing/* packages.

Is this still an issue with the packages that moved to extra a while ago then? :P

I have tried extra/xf86-video-intel 2.7.99.902-1, but things are even worse -.-b
Screen image just freeze (no refresh) under compiz, except for the mouse pointer (other WMs work well, such as xfwm4, with or without composition).
Switching VT using Ctrl - Alt - Fx and switching back can make the screen refresh one time.

I have also tried aur/xf86-video-intel-git 20090811-1, it just looks the same.
At present, I am using aur/xf86-video-intel-stable 2.7.1-4, no problem except OpenGL application indirect rendering issue (known issue in this version, and resolved in 2.7.99 and above version).

Status with xorg-server-1.7.x and xf86-video-intel 2.9?
