Description:
Some months ago, was a long process required to activate the modem ZTE MF622 using usb_modeswitch, I describe it here -> http://wiki.archlinux-br.org/Claro_3G, after some time, this problem was solved(perhaps with kernel 2.6.28 or .29), just load the module option so that the modem worked, but now the old behavior back and module option seems not work properly.

I need to run the command eject /dev/sr1 I connect to the Internet.
Or follow the tutorial above.

P.S.: My Arch is up to date.

Steps to reproduce:
wvdial
pppd call provider
This task depends upon

Maybe you need to report to upstream devs usb_modeswitch, about the problem with the recent kernel. I think that is the best place than here.

PS: usb_modeswitch is in unsupported, not in Arch Linux repositories.

The problem is in OPTION module, usb_modeswitch is a workaround for problem.

option module works for me with AnyData ADU-500A so this must be specific to your hardware

Well, I am not sure if any of changes from git history has caused your issue, but anyway I suggest you to report this to bugzilla.kernel.org

Cool, reverting the patch that added support for your device actually fixes your device detection. :-D
Yeah, definitely report this to kernel bugzilla, things like this shouldn't happen.
