FS#15472 - pacman -Qu always reports 0 download size

DetailsI find it quite daft that when one does:
$ pacman -Qu it will output something like: ... Total Download Size: 0.00 MB Total Installed Size: 66.74 MB The total download size should not be 0. I asked in #archlinux and someone said that in this "pacman -Qu" transaction, nothing gets downloaded, that's why it's zero. But infact nothing gets installed either, so argueing this way, the total installed size would also be 0. In the end, pacman -Qu loses a lot of informational value with total download size always reporting 0. It should report the proper size which would be downloaded in case one would do pacman -Su, just like it reports the installed size it would need. E.g. like with pacman -Su: ... Total Download Size: 25.72 MB Total Installed Size: 66.74 MB I don't see why this would not be a bug. |

-Qu won't even look like this in 3.3; the output has changed a lot and it acts more like the rest of the filters.
