Description:
The Ubuntu package for audacity allows the use of non-mmaped ALSA devices (e.g. PulseAudio) for playback and recording. This functionality would be useful for Arch Linux users using PulseAudio. The patch for it is currently in the Audacity repository but it isn't in the latest Audacity release yet (1.3.7 at the moment).

The patch is mentioned at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/audacity/+bug/178895.
Patch URL: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/20277233/portaudio_nonmmap.patch.

Additional info:
* audacity 1.3.7-1

Steps to reproduce:
* Install pulseaudio
* Start Audacity and go to Edit -> Preferences. "ALSA: default" and "ALSA: pulse" are missing.

Until pulseaudio will be moved to Extra this won't happen.
