Detailsparted 1.8.8 will be two years old next month, and several distributions have switched to a recent Git snapshot (Ubuntu, Debian, SystemRescueCd).
Incidentally, it has been the same snapshot each time -- 2008.03.24. I don't know the specifics of what new stuff is in the git snapshot, but if Debian stable is using a newer version, there's gotta be some critical fix to make them do so ;) |
