Description: There should be some official archbootstrap script (simple installation script that installs basic environment - similar to Debian's debootstrap), since there are few usermade/user-modified scripts, all called "archbootstrap", just look:

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Archbootstrap
http://code.kevinsnet.com/ArchBootstrap
http://www.google.cz/search?q=archbootstrap

so why there is no official distro? IMHO there should be one 100% sure working script available through [core] and it should also be available on official download page ( http://www.archlinux.org/download/ ) because someone could want to install Arch in some different system (to chroot, etc...). because of this it should use some staticaly linked pacman binary which will work on non-arch systems. This script should download pacman, offer few mirrors and install new minimal arch root to selected directory. So user will be able to chroot to that directory, perform some basic cofiguration and optionally install any package that will he want.

Also, it's not too hard to "pacman --root /my/root/drive -S base"

yea - i know pacman -r, but think that there should be some very automatic script for other distros (right... who the hell can use another distro? ;o)
