Udev 141-3 breaks the link between /dev/input/js# and the corresponding /dev/input/event# device.Due to this all the applications that are using a joystick are not able to find one because there is no /dev/input/js# link available.It doesn't matter whether the joystick gets cold-plugged or hot-plugged.Reloading the module joydev has no impact. I only assume it's a udev bug because when you search google you find numerous bugs like this one.
