Details

Description: Fn+F4 thinkpad_acpi sleep function stops working with 2.6.30. Didn't test other acpi functions. Only tested on i686. Downgrading back to 2.6.29.4 fixes problem.

Similar or the same issue here: " FS#15267  - [pm-utils] pm-suspend doesn't resume correctly with kernel 2.6.30" do you checked it?

Not sure it's exactly the same. My laptop won't even go into suspend. It might be similar/same cause in the kernel, though.

This seems like an upstream problem we wouldn't fix outside of the stable kernel upgrade path-- fixing it ad-hoc might break something else.

Am I right about that tpowa?

However for me everything is fine. Using pm-suspend. IBM Thinkpad T43p 2668-PEG.
