DetailsGPDF requires freetype > 2.1.7. It hangs pretty bad on a lot of documents with 2.1.7. This has been a topic of many bugs in gnome bugzilla, but all can be fixed with freetype 2.1.9.
I didn't have any problems upgrading from source (including the patch), so why isn't this packaged ? There also is a problem with GPDF not being able to display files generated in OpenOffice.org. I've been told this is fixed as well (haven't been able to verify yet), but I'm not sure if it was due to freetype or gpdf itself. I'm currently using gnome 2.8 from testing. |
