DetailsDescription:
After installing open-vm-tools using `pacman -Sy open-vm-tools`, the following error occurs while attempting to start open-vm-tools: /usr/bin/vmtoolsd: error while loading shared libraries: libgmodule-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory This can be solved by running `pacman -Sy glib2`. It seems that glib2 needs to be added as a dependency for this package. Additional info: * package version: 2009.05.22-2 Steps to reproduce: $pacman -Sy open-vm-tools $/etc/rc.d/open-vm-tools start :: Starting Open Virtual Machine Tools [BUSY] /usr/bin/vmtoolsd: error while loading shared libraries: libgmodule-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory [FAIL] $pacman -Sy glib2 $/etc/rc.d/open-vm-tools start :: Starting Open Virtual Machine Tools [DONE] |
