I did a pacman -Syu and the next time I rebooted I had not sound in firefox with flash. I can listen to mp3, etc so the rest of the system is unaffected. I have been advised by #archlinux @ freenode users to unload/blacklist snd_pcm_oss module and so I did, but no luck. It MAY be related to the latest module-init-tools upgrade and /etc/modprobe.d/sound(.conf] if you use alsa.
