During startup a few identical errors are displayed complaining that
/etc/modprobe.d/usb-load-ehci-first (from the filesystem package)
doesn't end in .conf.

Renaming the file makes the error stop. I assume this error is due to the new package.

also I noticed that modpobe.conf has moved inside modprobe.d. This doesn't align with the man page.
I'm not sure if these two issues are related.

module-init-tools 3.8-1
filesystem 2009.01-1
kernel26 2.6.30-4
klibc-module-init-tools 3.8-1

modprobe.conf was supposed to be moved.

Read the message printed right after or before UDEV loads during boot. It clearly says the files will be moved to .conf in a future release.
