Description:
After upgrading awesome wm from 3.3pre20090421-1 to 3.3-2 it did not start. All I saw was my mouse and a black screen. None of the keyboard shortcuts worked, or the menu.

Steps to reproduce:
Upgrade awesome to version 3.3-2 and start it.
