Details

Description: the applets do not work with Amarok 2.1-1 package. The only things that are shown is the KDE wallpaper and "Add applet" button. Clicking on it displays only "X" and a bottom arrow which shuts down the program.

Additional info:
* Amarok 2.1-1
* KDEmod 4.2.3
* x86_64

Steps to reproduce: install Amarok and run it.

Version information: I have also Amarok 2.0.96 installed with the same software (KDEmod 2.0.96). There the applet functionality works fine. The problem occured after updating to 2.1. Note that this may be also the Amarok issue, not the package. I'm not competent enough to detect what exactly causes it.

Did you try with KDE from extra? Afaik you need KDE 4.2.4.

Amarok 2.1 is and has been working for me from the stable repos vanilla arch since it became available.
(That includes it's applets.)

As a rule of thumb you should probably not report bugs to the archlinux flyspray when you are using the 3rd party kdemod. Especially not when it's related to their compiled libs and not Archlinux itself.
