DetailsDescription:
netcfg2 fails to take profiles up where admins group (on systems using sudo) is not 'wheel'. Output of: $ sudo netcfg <profile> CTRL: Invalid group 'wheel' Failed to initialize control interface '/var/run/wpa_supplicant'. You may have another wpa_supplicant process already running or the file was left by an unclean termination of wpa_supplicant in which case you will need to manually remove this file before starting wpa_supplicant again. Additional info: $ pacman -Qi netcfg Version : 2.2.0b3-1 Steps to reproduce: Configure sudoers to allow people in group <whatever-not-wheel> to run all commands Try to use netcfg... How to workaround: Manually edit line 72 on /usr/lib/network/connections/wireless to echo "ctrl_interface_group=<your-group-here>" >> $WPA_CONF |
