Description:
I just install (for second time) the system and now (in this time) the system don't recognize my camera, ipod and other stuff connected to usb via usb_serial.

The usb sticks works fine, but the camera KODAK EasyShare C813, ipod touch (only recognize not mount before) and a basic stamp (microcontroller connected with a serial to usb converter) dont work and lsusb dont list them.

I modify some udev rules and now i see the /dev/ttyUSB0 , but still don't work

I install usbview to see if my things are connected, but i have to put a line with /proc/bus/usb (usbfs filesystem) in /etc/fstab

which kernel are you talking about?

My laptop crashes all the time nowadays with 2.6.29-4 - especially when I use a usb-dial-out-modem.

I downgraded to kernel26 2.6.28 and all is ok.

Please report this to bugzilla.kernel.org or send a email to the list of usb subsystem and cc to maintainer of the driver. This is the best way to solve these bugs.
