Description:

Right now it seems like finally midori+libwebkit is recognizing the java plugin provided by sun, which can be confirmed by looking at tools -> netscape plugins (then look for the java stuff).

Problem is that when I go to java.com -> Do I have java? Then the plugin doesn't get recognized. The same goes when accessing other java pages like my bank one, :-)

Additional info:
* package version(s)

local/jre 6u14-1
Sun's java runtime environment
local/jdk 6u14-1
Sun's Java Development Kit
local/midori 0.1.7-1
A lightweight web browser based on Gtk WebKit
local/libwebkit 1.1.8-2
an opensource web content engine, derived from KHTML and KJS from KDE

* config and/or log files etc.

Try openjdk6 instead of jre/jdk, it provides a better binary compatibility.

Webkit/Midori simply does not yet support Java. Closing this as an upstream bug.
