I've found the patch that works.

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=23;filename=easytag_gnudb.patch;att=2;bug=527216

Then people must put into manual search server "gnudb.org".

No, with this patch manual search on gnudb.org works also now, this is the automatic search on freedb.org and freedb.musicbrainz.org that doesn't work.

Whereas for me, the patch seems to have no effect at all--i.e., auto search still works, manual is still broken.

Matt Gushee: maybe try to remove first .easytag and then remove easytag, then apply the patch and install new easytag via abs. Change www.gnudb.org into gnudb.org.

I think Matt Gushee have a problem with home folder .easytag.

Hi, Filippo--

As I wrote on September 11, "the patch seems to have no effect at all." That means I tried it. I have now tried again, following the exact procedure you suggested--and thanks for the tip about deleting ~/.easytag--I hadn't done that before. It still doesn't work for me.
