Why can't pacman handle with regexp mode, like in any other distribution? Like in gentoo, e.g. portage/eix. Just an example: eix emerge alsa*, and this installs all the package which starts with "alsa" word. I know that: pacman -Sq xzy | grep ... handles this situation, but for the simpler user it would be great. sincerelly, djszapi |
