Why doesn't Archlinux package handling mechanism provide a way to install different version of a package at the same time on my system. E.g. gcc, java... Kqemu is compiled with gcc-3.4.x, so i need this version too, near the new one of course. The same causes for java, som other package. It would be a good feature, like any other distribution, e.g. on gentoo. sincerelly, djszapi |

This can already be achieved if packages want it. e.g. "pacman -S gcc34" will install gcc-3.4 on Arch. So, not a pacman bug.
