gcc 4.4.0-3 from ABS fails to build, generating the following error after unpacking files: You need the de_DE locale to build gcc. ==> ERROR: Build Failed. My locales are: en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8 en_US ISO-8859-1 Why is de_DE required if I'm not in that locale? It's never been a requirement in the past...at least, not that I know of. |

de_DE is required to get locales building correctly. It has been needed to build gcc{-libs} for a long time...
