DetailsMy installation broke at this point: (line 160)
http://projects.archlinux.org/?p=aif.git;a=blob;f=src/core/libs/lib-pacman.sh;h=a104cee93a792753e9604f7f260bdf04b60fb1c2;hb=dc1d9fd59ed758a09383c4b4f839f42a0bc85570#l160 AIF tries to parse some output of pacman without setting the locales to english. Therefore pacman gave german output which could not be parsed. Pacman should be invoked with LANG=C at this point. Don't know if there is more to fix than this one. |
This task depends upon
don't you mean LANG=en_US.utf8 btw?
Can anyone confirm that i should just make all pacman invocations prepended by LANG=en_US.utf8 ? (except maybe the ones where we show pacman output to the user as part of the user interface)
will fix
