Description:

NOTE: this bug is already reported in ubuntu launchpad (Bug #349255)

if i open cheese or any other software that use isight,
i see a green capture

Additional info:

using archlinux 2009.02 x86_64
and latest packages (gnome and other)


Steps to reproduce:

for installation of isight i've watch archwiki "Macbook"

isight doesn't work in ekiga or cheese or any other application that uses webcam video input

have you tried what's written in the 2nd comment on Ubuntu bug's page?
anyway this looks like upstream bug.

but it doesn't work

it seems that gstreamer-properties don't save the string

so when you close window change has been lost

if you reopen gstreamer-properties changes are lost

it seems to be resolved by using old version of this component "libv4l"

RESOLVED

a new release of libv4l has the bugfix

just update this lib to fix the problem.

now the "libv4l" manteiner must update this package to the new version ( 0.5.99 ) fastly
