Kile is not built with --disable-debug . This produce a lot of output in console, or, we using kde4, in .xsession-errors if it's launched from the menu. ps. I don't get anything in my ~/.xsession-errors on x86_64
Output goes in .xession-errors because I launch kile from kde4's menu, but use your terminal ;)
