I've been wondering why the scintilla-plugin isn't included in anjuta by default?I've contaced the maintainer of the package a couple of weeks ago but i had no response so i decided to open a thread here.The scintilla plugin has, without a shadow of doubt, more benefits than the gtksourceview plugin but it is still not included by default.In my opinion it wold be a wise idea to include it in the official anjuta package.What do the others think?

It's not enabled by default, so that's the simple reason for letting it out. We could enable it though, but looking at upstream git, it appears this plugin is removed from 2.27.x, so unless it's coming back in a short while, I see no reason to enable it for the current release then. The removal isn't documented and it happened right after git migration, so they might include it again by fetching an external git repository. Until it's clear what the official statement behind this will be, the scintilla plugin will remain disabled.

Ah, there it is. They made a splitup package with additional plugins. The official anjuta 2.27.x package no longer contains the scintilla editor plugin.
