Upon use of the window selector in Gnome 2.8 it crashes out the applet with this message... "The "Show Desktop" applet appears to have died unexpectedly.

Do you want to reload this applet?

(If you choose not to reload it at this time you can always add it by right clicking on the panel and clicking on the "Add to Panel" submenu)"

The window list applet along with the workspace switcher applet also die... all three can be successfully reloaded from the menu, the workspace switcher has full functionality...

I'd love to... but you'll have to forgive my inexperience with strace... is there a URL where I can RTFM or is it simple enough for you to explain?

found the reason.
It is caused by libwnck, i got version 2.7.92 and the repo's got 2.6.X.
I am uploading libwnck 2.8.0 and gnome-applets 2.8.0 1t2 to the repo's.
I tested it on 2 of my systems and it should be fine now.
I am closing this if you find it is still not working please reopen it.
