Description:
Crash if launched by normal user from Applications -> Internet -> Vinagre

I cannot replicate on i686. Are you using x86_64?

This is caused by missing preferences in the GConf schema.

Keys to add:

/apps/vinagre/side_pane_visible (bool)
/apps/vinagre/toolbar_visible (bool)
/apps/vinagre/side_panel_size (int)
/apps/vinagre/window_state (int)
/apps/vinagre/window_width (int)

Adding these by hand to gconf should fix initial startup of vinagre.

The boolean's value is true or false? And the int's one?

don't know about window_state, but the rest are booleans and pixel values. Give them some sane values and set window_state to 0.

I reported this one upstream, maybe I'll provide a patch that sets these preferences from the schemas also.

Should be fixed with gconf 2.26.1-2, which doesn't assert on missing schema definitions anymore (2.26.0 worked fine and this doesn't affect just vinagre).

Yes, Vinagre works now. What do the CRITICALs mean? ("** (vinagre:24207): CRITICAL **: vinagre_prefs_set_bool: assertion `gconf_client_key_is_writable ( prefs->priv->gconf_client, key, NULL)' failed" etc.)
