DetailsXorg dumps me back to the terminal using a conf settings that i have used for years with various distros including until it broke arch.
i type startx and i briefly see the cursor then im dumped back to the terminal but i get no (EE) errors etc. |

or try to rerun xorgcfg -textmode
Just reregenerate the config file with either X -configure of xorgconfig, fill in the blanks or add details and all is well.
