Summary and Info:

I added the archlinuxfr repo to /etc/pacman.conf (as described in the 'easy install' yaourt method here: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Yaourt#Easy_Install) and ran pacman -Sy yaourt.

This resulted in:

error: could not register 'archlinuxfr' database (unexpected system error)

now any pacman action results in the same error message. Removing the repo from /etc/pacman.conf has no effect.

Steps to Reproduce:

add these lines to /etc/pacman.conf:

[archlinuxfr]
Server = http://repo.archlinux.fr/x86_64

run any pacman action.

Debug output would be nice. See man pacman, the --debug flag.
