DetailsDescription:
After installing the package "maxima" and trying to run the graphical frontend "xmaxima" I get the error: /usr/bin/xmaxima: line 3: exec: wish: not found and the application does not open. However, I figured out that there is a dependency lacking in pacman. maxima requires the package to be installed and, in my case, it was not. After installing tk, xmaxima would open with no problem. Additional info: -maxima 5.18.1-1 -archlinux 2009.02 -2.6.29-ARCH -pacman 3.2.2-1 -i686 Steps to reproduce: -do not have tk installed -pacman -Syu -pacman -S maxima -xmaxima |
This task depends upon
rlwrap: readline support via /usr/bin/rmaxima
tk: graphical xmaxima interface
