DetailsI experienced few font glitches with the newly patches freetype2 (2.3.9-2). Single font characters seemed to show wrong glyphs, none of them from the usual ASCII range. E.g. "v" was substituted by a character somewhat resembling "œ".
The problem existed in both Qt and Gtk applications, even though the problems seemed to differ from app to app (different characters were bogus). I solved the problem by downgrading to the old freetype2: [2009-05-03 15:04] upgraded freetype2 (2.3.9-2 -> 2.3.9-1) |

Note that -2 is a security update that shouldn't affect font rendering.
