DetailsDescription: After upgrading to 2.6.29.2 on my HP mini netbook (with the typical intel netbook chip + atom) I experience something strange. With KMS enabled I get something like a low color depth in X. I notice it just in KDM background image, that has some gradients easily visible instead of being smooth. As if I was using 16 bit color instead of 24 bit.
However, there is nothing strange in dmesg or /var/log/Xorg.0.log, where it says it's using 24 bit color. It worked good with kernel26-2.6.29.1. |
This task depends upon
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20997 (it's the "LVDS dither KMS fix")
Thanks.
