DetailsDescription:
I installed firefox 3.0.10-1 from extra. In also installed openjdk6/icedtea6 and libflashplugin 10.0.22.87-1. I noted that the plugins where not detected by firefox. An strace indicates that firefox is scanning the directory /usr/lib/firefox-3.0/plugins for it's plugins whereas most plugins appear to automatically install into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins. I am unclear as to whether this is a compile time option or a configuration option; however, please note that I was using a clean package installation in a clean installation of Arch (x86_64). As a work around I simply created a symlink which resolved the issue; however, it would seem that either the compile options or the default package configuration may need to be modified. |
