Same problem also in gentoo ~x86 and debian sid i386 (same machine, different nvidia drivers)
With Ubuntu 9.04 work fine, never see this visualization problems.
In archlinux and gentoo (updated now to qt-4.5.1) the problem remain the same.

Stellarium work fine before, no changes in my pc, only packages upgrade.
