Hello,

I'm trying to build Amarok2.2-beta1 and it needs that libmysqlclient be compiled with -fPIC support for C++ also. Now, it is just compiled with -fPIC for C. The changes are very little, in fact. It is just needed to add CXXFLAGS="-fPIC ${CXXFLAGS}" bellow the similar line for CFLAGS. It can be usefull to add --with-pic to the configure call.

I've already built a local version with these changes and rebuild amarok2.1-beta1 and I can confirm that it works. There are also confirmation of that fix on AUR for amarok2. See http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=19633.

Please, close this bug, because it is a duplicate of  FS#14250 . In fact, that is way better defined than this... sorry for the noise.
