xscreensaver built with xorg installed seems to not detect opengl...

is it an upstream bug?

I can't tell... nor did I confirm that it's xorg (didn't revert to xfree, bad of me, i know), but I have tested the build on multiple systems running xorg (all fail to build opengl).

configure says the headers are installed but the libraries aren't.

"configure says the headers are installed but the libraries aren't. ":

i had the same trouble with the old xorg - but with R6.8.0 it works (at least for celestia and other opengl stuff i use)

what xorg do you run?

(switching back to xfree is not a solution)
