DetailsDescription:
Try to start /etc/rc.d/samba. It fails if you don't hava libavahi installed. Unfortunately avahi is not a dependency of samba so samba can never start without manually installing avahi. Additional info: * package version(s): samba-3.3.3-1-i686 Steps to reproduce: /etc/rc.d/samba start Result: /usr/sbin/smbd: error while loading shared libraries: libavahi-client.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory |
