Kenni wrote in the forum: "I can't get any of them to boot my QEMU/KVM guests without the guest freezing on the new 2.6.29.1 kernel.." This is not part of his ticket, but I can confirm such a freeze in x86_64 as well. (Linux version 2.6.29-ARCH (root@T-POWA-LX) (gcc version 4.3.3 (GCC) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Apr 8 12:39:28 CEST 2009) I had the qemu update installed for 1.5 days by now. I had three times a freeze on bootup of VM and twice after running 8.5 / 10.5 hours. I started this morning a last test without --kvm-enabled, which freezes on startup too. Now I'm running the suggested kvm package. (Startup success - I'll keep you up to date) Regards, Matthias |
