DetailsDescription:
After the upgrade to xorg-server 1.6.0, setting a mouse sensitivity level under 1 with xset becomes impossible. 'xset m 0 0' (default) and 'xset m 1/3 0' give the same mouse speed. But 'xset m 2 0' does indeed make the mouse twice as fast. The mouse should become slower upon applying 'xset m 1/3 0' but it does not. This bug was not present in xorg-server 1.5.3. Additional info: xorg-server 1.6.0-3 xorg-server-utils 7.4-4 (contains xset) Steps to reproduce: Observe mouse speed after applying 'xset m 0 0'. (default mouse speed) Observe the unchanged mouse speed after applying 'xset m 1/3 0'. |

To your mouse section in xorg.conf to give the same effect as xset m 1/3 0 did.
<match key="info.capabilities" contains="input.mouse">
<merge key="input.x11_options.ConstantDeceleration" type="string">3</merge>
