Detailspacman will successfully add from a file a package with more than one hyphen in the version, but then subsequently fail to located the package for removal.
Please modify pacman to allow many hypens in the pkgver. Using pacman to control kernel packages is extremely awkward without this. Many kernel versions have many hypens. Examples: 2.6.9-rc1-mm3, 2.6.9-rc1-bk16-ckdev Since I'm sure somebody will suggest moving the extra version information into the pkgname, let me say that is not what I want/need. I don't want subsequent ck, mm, bk, or rc releases to be separate packages. Yes, I have a more sophisticated PKGBUILD than the one on the wiki. It is made to handle the additional complexity. |

Added a sanity check to pacman.
