Gnumeric has several problems with new GTK which makes it totally unusable for productive use (therefore priority set to High).

According to bug report[1], problems are fixed in 1.9.x branch of gnumeric, but not 1.8.x.

Suggested resolution: gnumeric package should probably change to 1.9.x branch. Even if 1.9.x is considered unstable, currently 1.8.x is totally broken on Arch installs.
